REJECTED BY ITALY AND GERMANY •‘EUROPEAN PEACE NOT ENDANGERED” (Received 12th May, 9.25 a.m.) LONDON, 11th May. A Vatican diplomat received this assurance with certain optimism as indicating that Herr Hitler does not intend to precipitate a crisis at present.
