THEFT FROM SHOP TILL
THIEF ENTERS WHILE OCCUPANTS ARE ABSENT t United Press Association I HAMILTON, 11th May. Notes and cheques of approximately £SO in value were stolen from the till in the shop of Mr G. Watson, camera dealer, Victoria street, yesterday afternoon, by a thief who entered the shop while Mr Watson and an assistant were temporarily absent. The assistant was in a room at the back of the shop and when she came back to the front of the shop after a brief absence she caught a glimpse of a man slipping out of the door. Next she noticed the till drawer standing open. All the notes and cheques had been taken, only some silver being left Of the sum stolen £ls was in casn.
