MANAWATU YOUNG FARMERS

VISIT TO NELSON A party of 49 members of the Manawatu Young Farmers’ Club are at present in Nelson in the course of a tour which will include Marlborough. Nelson, and the West Coast, including the Glaciers This morning the visitors inspected the Nelson telephone exchange and went for a drive to Tahunanui the route including the colleges and other places of interest. This afternoon they visited the Queen's Gardens where Mr F. G. Gibbs gave a talk on trees To-morrow morning will be spent at the Cawthron Institute and later in the day the visitors will go to Mr A. Gilbert’s orchard at Stoke.
