JAPANESE POLICY IN CHINA

OUTLINED BY PRIME MINISTER (Received 13th April, 1.5 p.m.) TOKIO,* 12th April. Baron Hiranuma, Prime Minister, said that Japan plans to station troops in East Asia for a lengthy period. The Japanese policy is threefold. It aimed 1 at the overthrow of the Kuomintang, continental development, and replenishment of resources. He added that the construction of a new order in East Asia was impossible unless Japan was strong enough to reject foreigners’ unwarrantable interference and oppression.
