FLOATING DOCK FOR AUSTRALIA

It is reported that a leading British firm has offered to sell a floating dock to the Commonwealth for £250.000. It could be installed in Australia for about £500.000, compared with a cost of £2,000.000 for building a dock locally capable of accommodating capital warships. The Federal Government is considering the offer.
