MAYOR’S ATTITUDE ENDORSED tUPA.-Hv Electric Teleernph-tJopyriehr LONDON, 2Gth February. The Bishop of Cork, Dr. Daniel Coholan. endorsed the attitude of the Mayor, Mr Hickey, in not welcoming the crew of the German training ship. Schlesien. “because of the insult to the Catholic world by German Press references to the Pope as a political adventurer.” However, in spite of Mr Hickey’s at- , titude, a salvo of guns greeted the ar- , rival of the Schlesien in Cork Harbour in response to her salute, and courtesy calls were exchanged.
