LEGION OF FRONTIERSMEN ST. JOHN AMBULANCE CLASS [From Our Own Correspondent) As the result of a meeting called several mouths ago by members of “Q” Squadron, Legion of Frontiersmen, a strong St John Ambulance cluis was formed at Motueka, members enrolling from Mo* i tueka, Riwaka, Dovedale, Moutere, Neudorf and Thorpe districts. Members have met fortnightly in the Presbyterian Church Hall and have received instruction from Dr A. R. Green, \vh« lias taken the medical side, and lias given very interesting lectures. Oilicers and members of the Nelson Branch of the St. •Johu Ambulance Brigade, who have travelled from Nelson at their own expense fortnightly, have also given valuable assistance iu the training of members with a view to the forming of a branch of the St. Johu Ambulance Brigade in this district. The examination for first aid certificates will be held in the Presbyterian Church Hall on Thursday, 2nd March, at 8 p.m., i and will be conducted by Divisional Surgeons of the St. John Ambulance Brigade j Nelson. After the first aid examinations j are completed, instruction will be given in | the home nursing section. This will be! followed by lectures on the combating of poison gasses, full courses of the latest methods having been received by the Frontiersmen from the Old Country. DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB i WILLS CUP—THIRD SHOOT The third shoot for the Wills Cup was I fired on Saturday, over 300 yards and 600 j yards, seven shots. Rifleman G.
