COMPANY FINED £lO I United Press Association) GREYMOUTH. 27th February. In the Magistrate’s Court. A. R. Walli: Ltd., of Kopara, were fined £lO for al lowing sawdust to flow into the Haupir River. The defendant company wa: similarly fined in December. 1937. On behalf of the defendants it wa: stted that a flume built to carry th< sawdust over the river was washec away three times by floods and replac cd twice. It was impossible to replace it a third time owing to shortage o labour.
