WELLINGTON. 25th February, i Cries for help at about 10.45 o'clock last evening took two constables into the Petone recreation ground where they found a youth lying on the ground. He said he had been sitting in one of the shelter sheds with a girl. Hearing a noise at the back he went to investigate and alleged that a man threw pepper in his eyes. The youth went to Dr. Harding’s surgery for attention while the police made a search without result.
