FITNESS WEEK CONCLUDES

SUCCESSFUL DISPLAY CARNIVAL AT TRAFALGAR PARK GIRLS’ INTER-HOUSE COMPETITION CREATES MUCH INTEREST Nelson’s Health and Physical Fitness Week has concluded; a week of successful demonstrations and sports meetings, not the least of which was the spectacular display on Saturday evening when more than 4000 persons were present at Trafalgar Park. In the afternoon a regatta was held on the harbour, proving an unqualified success. All of Saturday’s sporting activities, bowling, cricket, etc., were under the aegis of “Fitness Week.’’ Among the other events on Saturday was a tramp to Third House, arrangements for which were very well made and those who took advantage of the occasion spent a very enjoyable outing.
