MATCH AT RIWAKA 142 TO N. LUNN The third challenge for the season of Buxtons Ltd. cricket team, Nelson, was accepted by their Motueka branch and the match was played at the Cook Recreation Ground at the week-end. Motueka scored 235 runs, more than half of which were secured by N. Lunn in a brilliant hit of 142. Nelson replied with an innings of 86, R. Simpson contributing 42. Following on, they had knocked up 184 for the loss of nine wickets, when stumps were drawn, M. Hawke 42, R. Simpson 49. In Nelson’s first innings x. O. Hay performed the hat trick and had to his credit five wickets for six runs. In the second strike he took four wickets for 40.
