LONDON CONFERENCE LIST OF DELEGATES AND REPRESENTATIVES I British Official Wireleaal RUGBY, 30th January. At the forthcoming conference on Palestine, the delegation to represent the Palestine Arabs will include seven delegates as follows: —Auni Bey Abdul liadi, Jamal Effendi Husseini, Dr. Huessein A 1 Khalidi, Alfred Effendi Rock, jAmni Bey Tamini, Musa Bey El Alami and Mr George Antonius. secretaryI general, with three advisers, Faud Efj fendi Saba, Yacoup Effendi Ghussein, and Abdul Latif Bay Selsh. The foregoing comprise representatives of five of the six paitfes which had members on the former Arab Higher Committee. The question of the representation of the National Defence Party is still under consideration. Delegations representing Governments of neighbouring States will be composed as follows : Egypt.—Prince Mohamed Abdel Moneim. together with Hassan Nasht Pasha. Egyptian Ambassador in London. Ali Maher Pasha. Chief of the Royal Cabinet, Abdul Rahman Azzam Bey. Egyptian Minister to the Iraqui and Saudi-Arabian Governments. Iraq.—General Nuri As Said. Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs. Saudi-Arabia. —Amir Faishal. Minis ter for Foreign Affairs, and Faud Bey ! Hamza. Deputy Minister for Foreign ! Affairs. The Yemen.—Prince Seif A 1 Islam At Hussein. At Quadhi Muhamcd Abdullah Ash Shami and A 1 Quadhi Ali Binhuessin Amir Transjordan.—Traufiq Pasha Abuel Huda. Chief Minister to the Government. Most of the above-named have arrived in London The composition of the Jewish Agency delegation is not yet finally settled, but it is understood that the following will be included ir. the delegation:— Dr. Chaim Wcizmann. president of the Jewish Agency. Mr David Bengurion. chairman of the Executive of the Jewish Agency. Professor Brodetsky. head of the political department of the Jewish Agency in London, Mr M. Shtok, head of the political depart- ; ment of the Jewish Agency in Jerusalem j and Dr. Goldmann. representative of I the Jewish Agency in Geneva and 1 Paris.
In addition there will be a conference committee of prominent members of Jewish communities in the United Kingdom, Palestine, the United States, and other countries from whom the remaining members of the delegation will be selected. It is understood that among them will be Lord Reading and Lord Bearsted. who are not members of the Jewish Agency but who are attending in their individual capacities, and Mr James Rothschild. M.P.
The discussions will be held at St. James’ Palace and will open early in February Till the question of representation of the Defence Party has been finally settled, it is Impossible to give any exact date for the opening.
