At Upper Moutere the local team defeated Whakarewa by five wickets and five runs. With a handicap of 111 runs on tfie first innings Whakarewa made a valiant bid to bridge the gap, and scored 141 for their second hit. C. Bisley gave a bright display of cricket, and contributed nearly half the runs —a helpful 67. Les Sixtus took three wickets for 18.
