SALT
(Selected) Now Salt is very pompous, As proud as he can be. He sits upon the shelf and says: “You can’t do without me.” He looks around for other foods Who dare not disagree, And says: “However good you are, You’re nothing without me.” But to his wife, the Pepper, He bends a humble knee, And she says when they’re asked to dine: “You dare go without me.” —Sent in by Lesle Hogan, Mt. Pleasant, Nelson.
