The Dominion Croquet Council, at the annual meeting, received a letter from the English Association accepting New Zealand's challenge to a match playablt in New Zealand in January or February, 1940. Matches between England New Zealand and Australia are beinj. arranged.

Officers elected were: President, Mi R. W. McCreath (Gore); vice-presi dents, Mr R. D. Campbell (Palmerstoi North), C. Webber (Auckland); handi capper, Mrs C. Watkins (Hastings); re feree Mr A. G. F. Ross (Christchurch) secretary-treasurer, Mrs W. S. Austin (Wellington); assistant secretary, Mrs W. Caldow (Wellington); selectors. Mrs Watkins, Messrs Ross and A. J. Gibbs (Pa tea). It was decided to hold the Gold Mallet contest at Nelson and the medals at Grey mouth.
