At the wool sales 9429 bales were offered, including 3326 New Zealand, and 7253 were sold. There was a good selection, chiefly greasy merinos. Competition was active, but bids were frequently below sellers' limits. Withdrawals were frequent all round. Merinos were 5 per cent, and others 5 to 74 per cent, lower! compared with the close of last series.
