A. W. GYLES RETURNS

AFTER AUSTRALIAN CHESS TOURNEY FOUND CONDITIONS TRYING I United Press Association! WELLINGTON, This Day. Mr A. W. Gyles, of Wellington, returned by the Wanganella after participating in the Australian Chess Championship Tourney at Sydney. There were fourteen competitors and Gyles finished eighth. The sessions of four hours were rather long under those conditions.
