MAROONED ON ROCK RESCUED BY ROPES I United Press Association 1 TAUMARUNUI, This Day. Three young men. E. T. Mallasch (Wanganui), R. McNeil (Wanganui) and S Anderson (Halcombe) had an unpleasant experience yesterday afternoon when the boat in which they were going to Wanganui was caught by wind and piled up against a rock in midstream near Herlihy’s Bluff, four miles from Taumarunui. The weather was bitterly cold, and they spent two hours on the rock before their plight was noticed. and they were reesued by two men with ropes. They lost £3O worth of gear
