Three of the five titles j went oustide the province. The tournament was dogged to the last by unfavourable weather, for though to-day was one of the few days on which play was not curtailed by rain, the semi-finals and finals had to be played in a howling north-westerly gale. Results:— MEN’S SINGLES Semi-final: J. W. Gunn beat H. A. Barnett, 6-3, 6-0. J. T. Mayson beat Gunn, 6-1,! 6-4. WOMEN’S SINGLES Final: Miss M. Beverley beat Miss D. Miller, 6-4, 6-1. MEN'S DOUBLES Semi-finals: J. W. Gunn and J. T. Mayson beat H. A. Barnett and A. R. Cant, 6-4, 6-4; C. F. Penfold and R. G. Pattinson beat A. D. Brown and C.| Angas, 1-6, 6-4, 7-5. Final: Gunn and Mayson beat Penfold and Pattinson, 9-7, 46, 86. MIXED DOUBLES Semi-finals: Cant and Miss I. Poole beat R. G. Pattinson and Miss K. Armstrong 6-3, 6-3; C. Angas and Miss T. Poole beat J. W. Gunn and Miss M. Beverley 8-6, 6-3. Final: Angas and Miss T. Poole beat Cant and Miss I. Poole, 6-1, 3-6, 6-2. WOMEN’S DOUBLES Final. Misses I. Poole and T. Poole beat Mrs C. B. Beatson and Miss K. Armstrong, 6-3, 6-3.
