The distribution to farmers in Auck- ; land province for wool sold at the opening sale of the season was £339.896, compared with £201.700 last year. There was almost a total clearance of < the 24.240 bales offered. 24.028 bales being sold. The total weight of wool sold was 8.356.4331b5, the average price realised was P.76d per lb. or £l4 2s lid per bale, compared with 9.37 d and £ls 10s 7d at the opening sale last year.
