The possibility of a New Zealand Federation of Operatic Societies being formed in the near future was referred to at a meeting of the Operatic and Dramatic Society by the president. Mr J. A. Nash, the main object being a combined effort to secure a reduction in the payment of royalties by each society. The movement is extending throughout the Dominion.
