NEW ZEALAND GOLF COUNCIL

CENTENNIAL TO CRN AMI NTN lU n ll«’«1 !'..•» A ii'iii: i. •>, WELLINGTOxN. This Day. Correspondence between the New Zealand Golf Council and the Auckland and Canterbury advisory committees and the Auckland Provincial Centennial Council regarding tournaments during the centenary celebrations disclosed that both the Auckland and Christchurch committees are willing to conduct tournaments on the lines suggested by the Council. The matter of dates for these and the New Zealand championships at Wellington was left over until the dates of the arrivals of overseas steamers had been ascertained. The Council is providing £IOO towards a professional tourney at Rotorua in February next. The Council agreed to the request of the Professional Association that the Myers Cup at New Zealand tourneys should be competed for in conjunction with the first and second rounds of the epen, instead of the third and fourth. Sir Alexander Roberts was re-elected president and Mr W. A. Kiely vice-pre-sident.
