“THE MAIL" PLAYS TRATHEN’S LADIES

AN INTERESTING FEATURE INTER-HOUSE SERIES An interesting match in the scries of into-house fixtures which "The Mail’s” cricket team is playing took place at i Trafalgar Park late yesterday after-1 noon, when Trathen’s ladies’ team was met. A most pleasant game resulted. I , and "The Mail’s” team desires to thank Trathen’s for their interesting chal- . lenge; also Messrs F. Frankl.vn and J. J. Holmes for acting as umpires. Trathen’s totalled a respectable score, and also fielded very well. It was a disappointment to see Miss Fowler unlucky enough to be out before she had a chance to settle down, but Mrs Lovell batted brilliantly, her 20 comprising five fours: and Miss Johnson also came to light.
