DOVEDALE BRANCH The monthly meeting of the Dovedale branch of the W.D.F.U. held in : the Sunday School was \ cry well attended. Mrs L. Hall presided. The j meeting opened as usual with the sing- \ ing of the National Anthem and read- i ing of the creed. Arrangements were ; made to send delegates to the executive ’ meeting in Nelson next Wednesday, j The roll call. l Rona Win being second. Keen interest ; is being maintained in the flower coml , petitions and there was a very good display. "The best bloom in my gari den" was won by Mrs Alec Win with a . fine dahlia. Mrs S. Win with a nice ' rose was second. An enjoyable supper was handed round by the hostesses, • Mrs C. Jordan and Mrs J. Davies. MOUTEHE BRANCH The monthly meeting of the Moutere | W.D.F.U. was held at the residence of j I Mrs Clouston at Ncudorf. The meeting was opened in the usual manner and was well attended. A lengthy disI Hussion arose on the advisability of holding the birthday party in future as ! a, i afternoon 1 unction. The subject was left open for discussion by members. ’ Arrangements were made for attend--1 in S the Stewards’ Booth for morning and afternoon tea at the Motueka Miss M.
