Keith Walker Ltd. announce they will not be moving into their new premises until the middle of next week.* St. John’s Methodist choir will render Maunders sacred cantata. entitled “Bethleheifn,” on Sunday' evening. The cantata will be introduced by the Rev. W. Rowe with word snapshots of Bethlehem. The work has been arranged in three parts to present “The Shepherds’ Gifts,” "The King's Gift” and “Our Gift,” and the characters will be taken by Miss Prussing (soprano), Mr H. File (baritone) and Mr F. W. Huggins (tenor). The choir will be under the control of Mr F. Mitchell with Miss G. Carty at the organ. An evening garden party, under the auspices of the Ladies’ Guild of the Motueka Presbyterian Church, will be i nold in the church grounds on Tuesday next. A feature of the function will be a Christmas tree with Father Christmas in attendance. The grounds will be illuminated; and musical items and competitions will be included in the programme The annual concert in connection with the L.T.L. and Y. branch of the W.C.T.U. will be held on Monday evening in the Methodist Hall at 7.30. A good programme of musical and elocutionary items will be presented. The young people have been practising for several weeks and a good evening’s entertainment is promised to all who attend.
