MR WILLIAM OVENS IKron> Our Own Correspondent) News of the passing of Mr William Ovens, which occurred yesterday, after a very short illness came «s a great shock to the residents of Motueka. where he was well known and highly respected. Deceased, who was the son of Mrs and the late Mr Thomas Ovens, of Beach Road, Motueka was an assistant engineer with the Motueka Cool Storage Company, Port Motueka and took a keen interest n all activities of the borough, particularly in the Safe Bathing Society, having acted as secretary for that organisation for a long period. The late Mr Ovens leaves a Wife and cne small daughter, and to them and to his mother and sister the sympathy of a wide circle of friends will be extended.
