DON BRADMAN
KEEN TO VISIT NEW ZEALAND MEETING WITH NEW ZEALANDER I United Press Association! WELLINGTON, This Day. Mr Dan Reece returned from Australia by the Awatea. While over the water he looked up a number of former and present cricketers, including Bradman, who he said was very keen to visit New Zealand. He had recovered well from the injury suffered in England. Mr Reece spent some time with Warwick Armstrong, A. Noble and Clem Hill. Armstrong now weighs 21 stone, but actually he is no heavier than when he was playing in 1921. “No wonder lie frightened the batsmen,” said Mr Reece, who added that Armstrong was keeping very well. Mr Reece visited Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. He was the representative of the West Coast Sawmillers’ Association at the Timber Congress in Melbourne.
