SAFETY ZONE
ESTABLISHMENT AGREED TO [British Official Wirelessl (Received 26th October, 10.13 a.m.) RUGBY, 25th October. It is learned in London that the Japanese and Chinese authorities have agreed to the establishment of a safety zone at Hankow. The zone, which will cover the area of the French and former British, Russian and German concessions and a certain portion of the Chinese town, is practically assured. The arrangements have been mostly made by foreign missionaries and merchants at Hankow, headed by a French missionary, M. Pere Jacquinot.
