The Board nt' Trade reports that, the retail trade figures show that daily sales were 4.4 per cent, higher last month than in February, 1937. Sales of food perishables rose by 8.1 per cent., but other merchandise showed a fractional decline of .4 per cent. Stocks at the end of February were valued at 3.4 per cent, more than a year earlier. Employment was 3 per cent, higher.
