AMALGAMATION EFFECTED [By Telegraph —Pres* Association] MASTERTON. 30th March. Two newspapers long established in Masterton, the “Wairarapa Daily Times” and the "Wairarapa Age," having amalgamated, will publish their final issues to-morrow. They are combining to bring out the "Wairarapa Times-Age,” an enlarged evening daily, which will make its first appearance on Friday. The “Wairarapa Daily Times." at first called the “Wairarapa Daily," was the pioneer daily newspaper in the Wairarapa. and was established in November, 1878. The "Wairarapa Star," which became the "Age” when it was converted into a morning paper 28 years ago. was established in 1881.
