SUCCESSFUL ANNUAL SHOW IMPROVEMENT IN QUALITY OF | EXHIBITS BEST DOG rrtOM HASTINGS | i The eleventh annual show of the Nel- J 1 son Kennel Club was marked by sue- ! cess in every way. There was a large! entry, the fixture attracting breeders from as far as Christchurch, Welling-{ ton and Hawkes Bay. and the quality ’ of the dogs shown in the various classes ! showed a distinct improvement on that 1 of former years. particularly in the, Cocker Spaniels and Irish Setters. | The judge for all breeds was Mr A. S. : ; Brown, of Lower Hutt, who congratu-; latcd the Nelson Club on its show and I paid tributes to the exhibitors of the 1 I winners in the various breeds [ Cups and trophies won at the fixture : were presented in the evening by Mrs j P. B. Adams. During the day Mesdames H. J. Brough and J. Pye-Smith, and Miss K. Pye-Smith dispensed teas. Nelson won the Nelson-Marlborough Challenge Shield Mr C. H.
