MARCH MEETING The Nelson Townswomen’s Guild’s first meeting of the year was held recently in the Marsden Church Hall. The president, Mrs G. L. Page, welcomed a,

Claughton, including songs. “In My j Garden” (Mallanson), and “Phelia,” by Miss Prussing; ’cello solos, "Noc- I tunic' (Trowel) and -Barcarolle - ’ (“Tales or Hoffman" l by Mrs W. H. I AMcn; songs, “Serenade” <Schubert) and “Fairy Tales of Ireland" by Mrs C. Noble; violin solos, Drigo's “Serenade” and Schonrosnarin” by Mrs Vaughan;

| and a glee "The O&r;- are Splashing Lightly” (Geibel) by the Musical Circle. Mi's A. Nightingale was the accompan isle. | Tea was served by the following hostI esses, upervised by Mrs Wright: McsI dames Snodgrass. Martin. Shand-Smilh, | Bowden. Holmes. Goodwin. Walker. Short. Hammond, and Misses Jennings. Shand-Smith, and darkness. Members are reminded that the next meeting will be the annual general meeting and the election of officers.
