BIG NEW ZEALAND SPORTS TEAM LEAVING FOR AUSTRALIA DEPARTURE TO-MORROW ibv Telegraph nm Assnciatu.m WELLINGTON, This Day. The biggest and most representative sports team ever to leave New' Zealand will sail by the Wanganclla to-morrow' night to carry this country’s banner in the Empire Games to be held at Sydney from sth February to 12th February. The Games will not be the least important of Australia’s 150th anniversary celebrations, for the participants W'ill comprise the most representative, even if not the largest, delegation from the other Empire countries. From Great Britain. Canada. South Africa, New Zealand, the West Indies and Ceylon athletes will arrive not only to compete against each other but to carry a message of Empire unity to Australia on her great occasion. The Nev/ Zealand team for the Games numbers 64 of whom all except one will have assembled in Wellington by to-night and will leave by the Wanganella. Miss D.
