OBITUARY

MR T. ISAAC The late Mr T. Isaac whose death occurred recently at the age of (15 years, was born in Takaka. He lived in and around that district until a young man. when he went to Haiuham to work at a sawmill owned by Mr Robert Fellowes which was one of the first sawmills to start there. He worked at sawmills ana dairying until about 1014 After that he left the Bainham district and worked at mills at Rakopi and Mangarakau until about eleven years ago, when he took up farming in Motupipi. The late Mr Isaac married in 1901 the second daughter of the late Mr William Cook, farmer, of Bainham, who was one of the first settlers to settle hi Bainham, and who came to the Collingwood district in the time of the gold rush.
