LEAPER SHIELD NELSON V. MAIT AI FIRST GAME TO NELSON ! The first of a series of live matches for the Leapcr Shield was played uii Saturday, when the Nelson Bowling Club had a comfortable win over the Mailai Club by a margin of 06. Nelson won every game on the Nelson green and three on the Maitai. On the former green Nelson obtained a lead of 55, but on the Maitai green the rinks were more evenly matched, Nelson only winning by 11. On 7th November the club were the guests of Colonel and Mrs J. K Hume to afternoon tea, and last Saturday Mrs S. McArthur did the honours.
