Newspapers are unable to penetrate the veil of secrecy surrounding Britain’s new anti-aircraft gun which for the first time was revealed in a guarded written reply in the House of Commons to Sir Victor Warrcnder (C.), baldly announcing the gun’s perfection. It is understood that the military authorities arc satisfied after a year’s research and huge expenditure that the gun will prove effective against air raiders.
