ANNUAL DANCE AND PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES [From Our Own Correspondent] l lir Golden Bay Tennis Association s annual dance and presentation of trophies was held in the Oddfellows Hall, Takak:t. The attendance was disappointing, but those who attended had a. most enjoyable evening. r lhe. music was provided by Mr K. Reytrisli and his orchestra. Tite lucky spot wait/, was won by Mr R. RnHell and partner. The presentation of cups and trophies was made by Mr 1. H. Millward, to Lite following members. Senior tup (presented, by Mr T. 0. Anderson: Tarakohe club. .hitiior cup (Glen tup): Pmamahoi Club (for second year in succession). Mason Cup: U. J, Emms (for third time). Men's singles (Trent, Cup): L. Courtney. dies’ singles (Trent t rip): Miss B. Mail son. Men's doubles: N. L. Bettsemann and 11 Burridge. Ladies' doubles: Mrs G. Richmond and Miss B. .Man.-on. Combined doubles: Miss M. Emms and C. J. Emms. School combined doubles (not presented last year): Miss M. Emms and L. Clarke.
HIAWATHA CLUB MEMBER FAREW ELL ED Opportunity was taken at the function to farewell Mr Eric Anderson, a member of the Hiawatha Club who ; s leaving Takaka shortly. Mr N L. Bensetnaim (president of ths club) said Mr Anderson had become one of the leading players in the club, and the members would regret losing him from the club. On behalf of the club he made a presentation to Mr Anderson. Mr M. Wadsworth, on behalf of Messrs E C. and E. M. Wadsworth Ltd . and staff, presented Mr Anderson with a wallet and set of brushes. Mr Anderson suitably replied, thank, ing those responsible for the presentations and for their kindly remarks.
