WAIMEA BRANCH The following report was presented at the annual meeting of tire Wnimea branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union:— Nine meetings were held during the year: the various competitions being well contested. We have, as a result, a good stock of baby garments in the branch emergency box. Two members were presented with gifts for their respective infants. Donations were sent to Provincial Executive funds. 2ZR. the Leper Fund. Queen Mary Portrait Fund. Community Chest, and to the stall held at the A. and P. Association’s Show at Richmond. The president represented this branch on the Health Camp Committee and personally canvassed the residents of River Terrace. Wairoa Gorge and Lee Valley, a handsome sum being collected and handed to the treasurer of the local committee. As usual the birthday party was a success. A show of baby garments donated by members was kindly judged by Mrs Green who remarked on the high standard ol some of (he work. The members attended church parade at St. Paul’s, Brightwater, when the Rev. Canon F. Quintreli preached an appropriate sermon. All Provincial Executive meetings were

attended except that held at Motucku. The president represented this branch at the Dominion Conference held at Wellington ii> July. It is pleasing to note that members who have availed themselves of the services of the Division housekeepers, have clone so at their own expense without calling on branch or community chest funds.
