FLYING SISTERS
TO ATTEMPT CAPE RECORD (United Press Association— By Electn'o Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, 16th March. The sisters, Mabel and Sheila Glass, who were recently third in the Pyramids air race to Egypt, are planning an attempt on the Cape record. Both are in their early twenties and have been flying for three years. MRS PUTNAM’S WORLD FLIGHT AWAITING FAVOURABLE WEATHER OAKLAND (California), 15th March. A storm forced a second postponement of Mrs Earhart Putnam’s flight. The forecast said that a depression area was moving slowly westward. Mrs Putnam was advised to wait until Wednesday. She said that preparations were complete and she intended to start as soon as the weather cleared. She now expects to depart from Oakland instead of San Francisco.
