YOUNG MAN FOUND DEAD
Maurice George York Atkins, aged 21 years, son of Mr and Mrs G. Atkins, of Riwaka, was found dead as the result of a gunshot wound yesterday morning. Deceased had been in Christchurch undergoing treatment for some time and arrived back at his home last Saturday. At an inquest held last evening the coroner, Mr J. 11. Rankin, returned a verdict that death was caused by a gunshot wound, self-inflicted, while in a state of mental depression.
