TEA AND PRESENTATION OF PRIZES A LARGE ATTENDANCE In spite of the disappointing weather conditions on Thursday, there was a good muster of children at the Presbyterian Hall for the annual tea, which was followed at 7.30 p.m. by a concert and presentation of prizes won during the year. Rev. James Ilay presided and welcomed the parents and friends who had come to hoiour the children. During file evening the superintendent addressed the gathering briefly and thanked all those who had helped the SundaySchool in any way. He gave an invitation to any children who attended no other School to come and join Trinity.
A pleasant task was' performed by Mr Hay when he made presentations on behalf of the teachers and scholars, to Miss Frances Bcnsemann and Mr E. R. Pirie for the splendid work they put into the Sunday School Anniversary. The prizes were presented by Mrs O'. W. Ross, who was handed a bouquet by little Joyce McArtney. The following items were given during'tjhe evening : Recitation, Marie McLaren, Ruth Mason; piano solo, Helen Smith; recitation, Gordon Black, Athol Blair; tap dance, Joy Griggs; recitation, Pamela Jamieson, Margaret Miller; piano solo, Nolan Martin; recitation, Esma Lamb, Cyril Martin, Kathleen Lamb; dance, Edna Greenem, vocai duet.. Marion and Norvaleen Jamieson ; recitation, Kathleen Bennets; song, Bruce Murray; piano duet, Ina and Edith Brunt; selections, Beggs ’PianoAccordeon Band. After the singing of the Doxology and pronouncing of.the Benediction the function was brought to a dose.
