TEN FASHION COMMANDMENTS

Mr Ernest Dryden, one of Hollywood’s best-known fashion designers, has evoked ten simple rules for women who want to be well dressed on a limited allowance. His commandments of fashion are:— Avoid all fripperies. Invest tnb money you spend on

clothes in quality. Don’t make yourself a slave to the latest fashion. Dress to suit yourself, not your neighbour or your bridge club. Shun noisy clothes. Loud dress is the arch enemy of smartness. Don’t try to be the last word. Better wear a good model of yesterday than a cheap one labelled “to-mor-row.”

Don’t worry about the price ticket —it has no relation to smartness. Don’t strive for a large wardrobe, correct changes are better than frequent ones. Don’t strive to be different. Avoid cheap jewellery. If you must add something to your wardrobe, add smart white or a touch of colour.
