SEQUEL TO MOTOR ACCIDENT

(By Telegraph- Press Association)

WELLINGTON, This Day. Damages totalling £476 13s are sought in a Supreme Court action against Harold Muir, journalist, and his wife for irijuries suffered by Mrs Jean Cartwright Fletcher, a pillion rider on a motor-cycle struck by a car driven by Mrs Muir. Negligence of failing to keep a proper look-out is alleged, and failure to manage the car with due care and skill. Fletcher was in hospital for 122 days. The defence is a general denial and an amendment that the accident was due to negligence of the motor-cyclist in overtaking and passing a car on the near side and on an intersection. The' case is proceeding.
