LOST IN THE BLUE MOUNTAINS
ANXIETY FOR YOUNG HIKERS AEROPLANES AND 150 MEN SEARCHING (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) SYDNEY. Bth October. Anxiety is felt for the safety of four young hikers, John Birmingham (22), and his brother Gerald (17), John Regers (19), and Frederick Lane (17), who have been lost in the foothills of the Blue Mountains since the week-end. Tney left their homes at Sydney on Saturday, hiking from Richmond to Blackheath, intending to return on Monday night, since when they have not been reported. Several aeroplanes and also 150 men are at present searching.
