AVIATOR RESCUED

PICKED UP OFF IRISH COAST (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, 7th October. The French trawler Ambrim has wirelessed that she has picked up Kurt Bjorkval near Valentia Island, off the south-west coast of Ireland. Bjorkval is safe and the trawler has the machine in tow. Bjorkval was on a non-stop flight to Stockholm from New York. FORCED TO ABANDON PLANE (Received 9th October, 10.0 a.m.) LONDON, Bth October. The trawler Imbrin was forced to abandon Bjorkval’s plane.
