BODY FOUND FLOATING IN SEA

(By Telegraph—Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day. The body of a young Hurford road farm-hand, Noel George Cottier, aged about 23 years, was found floating in the sea off the Municipal Baths at New Plymouth yesterday afternoon. It appeared that the body had not been in the water very long.

Cottier was fully dressed except for his boots and coat, these later being found by the police on the beach below’ the Belt road camp site. Cottier, who was employed as a farm-hand by J. H. Thomas, of Hurford road, told his employer on Wednesday that he was going for a walk. He did not return to the farm that night and he was then reported to the police as missing. An inquest will be held to-morrow.
