WAKEFIF.LP-SPRING GROVE BRANCH The monthly meeting of the Wake-field-Spring Grove Braiich was held at Wakefield. The president, Mrs Wilkinson, welcomed all visitors Mrs Stringer was appointed to report on the council meetings. Miss O. Bird is to be assistant pianist at the meetings at Wakefield and Spring Grove. A call for infants’ clothes for a case of need was well responded to. rt was decided to help with a stall at the A. and P. Show for the community chest. After afternoon tea Mrs Malcom Bird gave a most interesting and enjoyable lecture on music, for which she was heartily thanked by members of the Women’s Institute* W.D.F.U., and Mothers’ Union, who were present. The competition, host pound of butter, was won by Mrs Eden, and three best bulbs, by .Mrs Eden. Both competitions were well patronised.
