GEORGE DEFEATS WOODS (By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, This Day. Don George, one of the world’s greatest professional wrestlers made his New Zealand debut last night when he defeated Joe Woods by two falls to one. George gained the first fall in the fifth after having sent his opponent through the ropes. George ended the contest in the sixth with a body press after felling Woods with forearm jolts and slamming him heavily several times.
