NELSON CO-OPERATIVE BUILDING SOCIETY
NO. Z GROUP FORMED _____ No. 2 Group of the Nelson Co-opera-tive Building Society (Starr-Bowkett) has been started and commences operations this month as advertised. Members of the society, besides the benefit of compulsory saving, receive during the life of the group a loan of as many hundred pounds as they have shares free of interest, all repayments being on account of principal. No. 1 Group has now been in operation for just five years, and during that time over £IO,OOO has been advanced to its members, and most of this amount has been on free of interest leans
The weekly subscription is one shilling per week per share. Shares are still being, taken up in the new group and full particulars can be obtained from the society’s secretary.
