Concluding results on the second day of the Taumarunui Jockey Club’s meeting were as follows: President’s Handicap, of £150; one mile and 110 yards.—6-6 Orac, 7.10 (C. G. Goulsbro’), 1; 4-4 Sinking Fund, 8.3. 2; 1-1 Bonny Gay, 7.12, 3. Scratched: Lord Val, Tradesman, King Musk. Won by a short head, a length. Time, 1.47. Novice Handicap, of £75; six fur-longs.—3-5 Lady Valma, 8.2 (Tinker), 1; 6-8 Strathire, 8.6, 2; 9-6 Poker Face, 8.0, 3. All started. Won by a short head, a neck. Time, 1.16 3-5. Second Steeplechase Handicap, of £l3O, about three miles.—6-4 Friendly Boy, 9.0 (Jones), 1; 3-1 Kinkle, 9.7, 2; 5-5 Golden England, 11.2, 3. Scratched: London. Won by six lengths. Time, 5.50. One of the most sensational incidents in the Auckland Province occurred, only two horses completing the course safely. Green Park fell with a round to go and broke its neck. Valpeen and Golden England were remounted by bystanders and a great finish for third place was staged between them. Railway Handicap, of £120; six furlongs.—l-1 Blue Needle (Tremain), 7.7, 1; 2-3 Legatee (Forsyth), 7.9, 2; 5-6 Star Artist (Goldsbrough), 7.8. 3. Scratched: Prince Acre. Won by a neck, threequarters of a length. Time, 1.14 3-5. Fai'ewell Hack Handicap, of £100; six furlongs —1-1 Johnny Walls, 8.9, 1; 3-3 Bonny Song, 7.11, 2; 4-4 Sir Tommy, 8.2, 3. Also started; Lady Diana. Won b yone and a half lengths. Time, 1.14 4-5.

The totalisator handled £15,668, compared with £6701 on the corresponding day last year. The total for the meeting wa £37,043, an increase of £17,911 over the figures for the last annual fixture.
